Problem statement It is required to allow clients to apply for personal loans at any time from anywhere, and to streamline the existing credit granting process.
Status quo Currently the process entails filling out application forms in branches. These forms are then scanned and the relevant information is recaptured on a number of systems:
  • External credit bureau for credit history
  • Scoring engine
  • Mainframe system for loan offer generation
  • Payment files are generated and submitted to the client’s bank. Payment occurs within a number of business days
  • HR system for commissions calculation
  • MIS system for management reporting and statistics The loan granting process takes a number of business days.
